SUB-COMMITTEE I APPROVES PARTION PLAN<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

Convening in public under the Chairmanship of Mr. Ksawery Pruszynski (Poland), the Sub-Committee this afternoon completed its Plan of Partition of Palestine which will now go to the Ad Hoc Committee for full debate.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The Sub-Committee unanimously decided that the City of Jerusalem should be placed under the authority of the Trusteeship Council.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The sub-Committee also approved the draft text of the Preamble of the Recommendations on Palestine that the General Assembly will be called upon to pass.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The Ad Hoc Committee will convene this evening at 8:00 p.m., in order to receive the Reports of Sub-Committee 1 (Partition) and Sub-Committee 2 (Unitary Independent State).<\/p><\/div>\n
