PALESTINE PARTITION SUB-COMMITTEE DISCUSSES CHAPTERS ON HOLY PLACES<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

At a closed meeting, the Sub-Committee this afternoon went over most of Chapters I and II of Section C of the Plan of Partition (pages 49 and 50 of the English text of the UNSCOP Report).<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

These two Chapters deal with the Holy Places, Religious Buildings and Sites, Religions and Minority Riglits. Most of the content of these two Chapters was approved with some amendments and additions. Discussion was postponed on a few points on Religious Buildings and Religious Rights.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The Sub-Committee will hold another closed meeting tomorrow, Wednesday 29 October, at 11 a.m.<\/p><\/div>\n
