CORRECTION<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>On page 8 of Press Release WOM\/1278 of 13 March, the name of the representative of Israel speaking in right of reply should be Ron Adam<\/u>.  His statement should read as follows:<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>In response, RON ADAM (Israel<\/u>) said the name of his country had not been mentioned, but it was called Israel.  The Iranian representative’s intervention had reminded him of the darkest days of the United Nations when Israel had often been vilified.  He insisted that Jewish NGOs had indeed been banned from participating in the conference, as were two States which he did not name.  Had he been the Iranian representative, he would not have talked about tolerance in this form.<\/p><\/div>\n
