Calls for Halt to Air Violations<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>Beirut, 17 October 2001 (UN Information Centre<\/strong>) – The Personal Representative of the Secretary-General for southern Lebanon (PRSG) has noted with concern that one Israeli military aircraft violated the Blue Line on 16 October.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>We are aware that even one such violation of the Blue Line and Lebanese airspace can contribute negatively to an already tense situation.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The PRSG, therefore, reiterates his call upon the Israeli authorities to cease these violations and fully respect the Blue Line.<\/p><\/div>\n
