\t<\/span>Calls for Halt to Air Violations<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Beirut, 15 October 2001 (UN Information Centre)<\/strong> – As indicated previously, the United Nations has on various occasions, including in recent reports to the Security Council, drawn attention to air violations across the Blue Line by Israeli military aircraft.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>In this connection, the Personal Representative of the Secretary-General for southern Lebanon (PRSG) has noted with concern that 6 Israeli air violations, consisting of a total of 9 aircraft, took- place across the Blue Line on 14 October.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Such repetitive violations of the Blue Line and Lebanese airspace potentially aggravate an already tense situation.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The PRSG once again reiterates his call upon the Israel authorities to cease these violations and fully respect the Blue Line.<\/p><\/div>\n
