ALLEGED TRUCE VIOLATION BY JEWISH FORCES AND REQUESTING<\/p><\/div>\n

CONVOCATION OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that on 22 December 1948 Jewish forces launched an air attack on Egyptian airfields at Elariche, at Rafah and on Khan Younes and bombarded those areas as well as Falouja which was the target of Jewish attacks throughout the day. The same day Jewish warships attacked the Egyptian land forces. Jewish land forces are concentrating along the Egyptian front in anticipation of an attack<\/p><\/div>\n

on the Egyptian forces. At half past ten in the evening Jewish forces launched a violent attack on the Egyptian forces, using armoured cars, cannon and small arms and a violent battle is raging in the sectors of Dair El Balah and Khan Younes.  The Jewish attacks continue. These operations which are the uninterrupted continuation of acts which the Jewish forces have not ceased committing constitute a flagrant violation of the cease-fire orders of the Security Council.  I request Your Excellency to convene the Security Council in order to examine the situation resulting from these repeated violations.<\/p><\/div>\n
