Statement by Minister for Foreign Affairs Laila Freivalds concerning the terrorist act in Tel Aviv<\/p><\/div>\n

"I condemn yesterday's terrorist act in Tel Aviv", says Minister for Foreign Affairs Laila Freivalds.<\/p>\n

"I also condemn most vigorously those who want to sabotage the peace process that has been initiated between Israelis and Palestinian leaders and that is intended to find a path away from continued confrontation and violence. The Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has unequivocally repudiated the attack and must take immediate action to prevent new acts. By acting together now Israelis and Palestinians can show that violence is unacceptable and that perpetrators of violence have no place in their society."<\/p><\/div>\n
