The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, welcomed the comprehensive agreement that was signed between the State of Palestine and the Holy See. He considered this step a model for cooperation and constructive dialogue and exemplifies a strong message of support to the rights of the Palestinian people. The Secretary General added that the agreement would reinforce peaceful coexistence and build bridges between the different cultures, civilizations and religions, and represents support for peace and stability in the region on the basis of the two-state solution according to the relevant international law and resolutions of international legitimacy. <\/p><\/div>\n

Madani also expressed his appreciation for this political and moral step that embodies actual recognition by the Vatican City State of the State of Palestine.<\/p><\/div>\n
