Foreign Secretary bilateral with the Palestinian Foreign Minister<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson met the Palestinian Foreign Minister Dr Riyad al Malki.<\/strong> <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Speaking after the meeting the Foreign Secretary said:<\/p><\/div>\n

“It was a pleasure to meet the Palestinian Foreign Minister Dr Riyad al Malki. We discussed the persistent challenges of achieving lasting peace in the Middle East and I reiterated the UK’s firm commitment to a two state solution with a Palestinian state living in peace alongside Israel.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

“We agreed that the anniversaries of 2017 serve as a stark reminder that all parties must redouble efforts to reach a negotiated solution which delivers dignity and prosperity to all the people in the region.”<\/p><\/div>\n
