– Strikes declared by the General Union of Palestinian Teachers and by the health sector were extended to the end of 2008. A meeting of UN Agencies will take place this week at OCHA to discuss the impact of these strikes on the Palestinian population and how the UN can mitigate their effects. <\/p><\/div>\n
