Javier Solana, European Union High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), expressed today his great satisfaction after the liberation of BBC journalist Alan Johnston, who had been abducted in Gaza in March:<\/p><\/div>\n

"I have just been informed that Alan Johnston has been released today early in the morning. I am delighted and relieved to see that he is now free. I hope he will very soon be reunited with his family and friends and recover from the hardships he has been through during his long captivity.<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

I am very much looking forward to hearing the sound of his voice on the radio again."<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n
