OIC Secretary General Welcomes the release<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

of the kidnapped journalists in Gaza<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, welcomed the release of two journalists kidnapped in Gaza and considered their release serving the Palestinian national interests. The Secretary General also commended the role played by the Palestinian National Authority in releasing the kidnapped journalists. He emphasized that facilitating the work of journalists and sparing them harm serves the just Palestinian cause. <\/p><\/div>\n

Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu strongly condemned Israel for attacking Palestinian civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, latest of which has been targeting the car of two journalists by a rocket. The Secretary General emphasized that targeting Palestinian civilians by Israel is a war crime that should not be tolerated.<\/p><\/div>\n
