Bethlehem: Cremisan monastery – Farnesina welcomes Israeli High Court verdict<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation welcomes the Israeli High Court’s verdict on the Cremisan monastery in the Bethlehem area. The Court granted the appeal concerning the route of the Israeli separation wall.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The route, which would have undermined the functionality of the monastery and the livelihoods of numerous households in the area, will now have to be reviewed. The Italian Government has been active on this case since 2006.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The Farnesina appreciates the verdict issued by Israel’s High Court, which is further testimony to the strength of Israeli democracy.<\/p><\/div>\n
