Tender for construction in West Bank Israeli Settlements<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Spain rejects and deeply laments the decision that the Israeli authorities announced yesterday to issue tender for the construction of four hundred fifty Israeli housing units in occupied West Bank territories.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

This unilateral decision goes against creating a climate of trust necessary to resume peace conversations between Palestinians and Israelis, and its execution would make a solution between the two states impossible.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Spain, as part of the international community, considers the Israeli settlements in occupied territories to be against international law.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The government of Spain urges the Israeli authorities to reverse this decision, which is illegal in light of international law and goes against the peace process.<\/p><\/div>\n
