The Fourth Committee (Special Political and Decolonization) approved this morning its programme of work and timetable for the sixty-first session of the General Assembly.  … <\/p><\/div>\n

From 31 October to 2 November, the Committee will consider the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (item 30), and on 6 to 8 November, it will take up the report of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories (item 31).<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

The Committee expects to conclude its work for the current session on 9 November.  Its consideration of the items on information questions, outer space, peacekeeping operations and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East will include a questions-and-answer period following introduction of the relevant reports.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Fourth Committee will meet again at 3 p.m. on Monday, 2 October, to take up issues relating to implementation of the decolonization Declaration.<\/p><\/div>\n
