Young Palestinian Murdered<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Spain strongly condemns the terrible murder of a young Palestinian in Jerusalem, as well as the various acts of violence seen in recent days following the appalling murder of three young Israelis.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

The Government of Spain once again urges all parties concerned to exercise the utmost restraint in order to avoid an escalation of the violence with unpredictable consequences.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Both the launch of rockets into Israeli territory from Gaza and the revenge attacks carried out by radical elements on the civilian population in Palestine must stop.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Once again, the Government of Spain reiterates that any solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict must involve negotiations between the parties with a view to creating two States that coexist in peace and security. It therefore urges the parties concerned to lower tensions and return to the process of negotiation, which was regrettably interrupted at the end of April.<\/p><\/div>\n
