Israel approves new package of UN projects for Gaza<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

(Brussels)  The United Nations welcomes the approval of another package of UN priority projects requiring the import of controlled materials into the Gaza Strip.  <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

”I value our ongoing cooperation with the Government of Israel in our efforts to address the manifold needs of the population of Gaza.” said Robert Serry, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process.  <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

These most recent approvals include two housing projects, consisting of just under 1000 units, ten schools and a road project, bringing the total of approved UN works in the Gaza Strip to an estimated US $350 million.  <\/p><\/div>\n
