Statement <\/strong>by the spokesperson on the latest attacks in Israel and the West Bank<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The stabbing attack that killed two Israelis today in Tel Aviv, at the time of a prayer service, and the shooting attack in the West Bank that killed an Israeli, an American and a Palestinian and injured several others are both terrible and painful reminders of the volatile and violent reality on the ground.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The EU extends its condolences to the victims and their families, and wishes a speedy recovery to all those injured.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Nothing can justify terrorism. Too many innocent people have died in this current wave of violence.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Today's attacks only highlight further the need for all sides to do their utmost to prevent further violence, and to take the necessary steps to restore a political perspective for the solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.<\/p><\/div>\n
