The Organization of the Islamic Conference: Syria’s complete pullout from Lebanon confirms its abidance by the resolutions of international legitimacy<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

 The General Secretariat of the Organization of the Islamic Conference has welcomed Syria’s announcement of the complete withdrawal of its military and security forces from the Lebanese territories. The spokesman of the OIC General Secretariat, Ambassador Atta Mannan Bakhit, considered the completion of Syria’s pullout from Lebanon a confirmation of Syria’s commitment to its obligations and its eagerness to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1559 and the provisions of the Taif Agreement.<\/p><\/div>\n

Speaking to the International Islamic News Agency (IINA), Ambassador Bakhit expressed hope that Syria’s honouring of its commitments will remove the obstacles and difficulties hindering Syria’s relations with the international community and will thus open a new chapter in its fraternal relations with Lebanon on the basis of cooperation and common interests in all fields.<\/p><\/div>\n
