Javier Solana, European Union High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), welcomed today the appointment of a new Palestinian government.<\/p><\/div>\n

"I congratulated today Prime Minister Qurei on the appointment of a new government and I also want to congratulate the Palestinian people, as well as President Abbas on this important occasion.<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

I offer my best wishes for success to the members of the new cabinet, who can be sure of my personal support and that of the European Union.<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n
