\non the passing of Dr. Eyad El-Sarraj<\/u><\/p>\n

I was deeply saddened by the news that Dr. Eyad El-Sarraj had passed away. I knew him as an exceptional and dedicated personality, working tirelessly to improve the lives especially of his fellow Gazans, and someone who persistently stood on the side of human rights, peace and justice. <\/p>\n

It is a big loss for the Palestinian people and their friends. But Dr. Sarraj's legacy lives on and through it he stays in our memory. <\/p>\n

I send my deep condolences to his family and the people of Palestine. <\/span>
