The Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip was an encouraging development, he said.  Israeli settlement activities in the occupied territories must end and the Middle East “Road Map” should be fully implemented.  At the same time, reform of the Palestinian Authority had to move forward.  Iraq’s destiny was also important for peace and stability in the Middle East.  Turkey, in cooperation with the United Nations, had been at the forefront of efforts for political and economic rehabilitation in Iraq.  <\/p><\/div>\n
