Today, Israeli occupying forces killed 13 Palestinians and injured 110, at least 25 of whom are in critical condition.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;In the early morning hours (Palestine time) of today, Israeli tanks supported by helicopter gunships, invaded the town of Khan Yunis. The Israeli occupying forces shelled several neighbourhoods in the town, shot at the inhabitants and at some point fired a missile upon a large crowd in the neighbourhood of Al-Amal. Israeli criminal and terrorist behaviour continued even to the point where Israeli troops opened fire at a Khan Yunis Hospital where the injured were being treated.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;The above-mentioned wilful killings of civilians has proven to be a pattern of behaviour by Israeli occupying forces. The international community has the duty not only to bring an immediate end to such criminal illegal actions being carried out by Israel, the occupying power, against the Palestinian people, but also a duty to bring those responsible to international justice.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;I have also to inform you of acts of terror committed by illegal Israeli settlers against the Palestinian people. Yesterday, those criminals killed a Palestinian civilian, and injured another, while they were trying to harvest olives around the village of Aqraba near the city of Nablus. Also yesterday, an 18-year-old Palestinian civilian was killed when Israeli soldiers opened fire from a tank in the city of Jenin, in what has become yet another criminal pattern of tanks facing Palestinian civilians and soldiers firing at civilians and stone-throwing children.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;We, once more, call on the Security Council to take all necessary measures to end all Israeli war crimes, State terrorism and systematic human rights violations committed against the Palestinian people, beginning with measures to ensure the full implementation of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/unispal.un.org\/pdfs\/2557B4ED9525563485256C3F004BBF4E.pdf\" style=\"color:#0000ff;text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">Security Council resolution 1435 (2002)<\/a><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">. It is also increasingly apparent that the Council has also to take measures for the protection of the Palestinian people, at least in the form of international observers, to prevent further bloodshed and deterioration of the situation. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;padding-top:11px;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:11pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;In follow-up to my previous 140 letters to you regarding the ongoing crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including Jerusalem, dated from 29 September 2000 to 2 October 2002 (A\/55\/432-S\/2000\/921;
