\t<\/span>I have the honour to request the Security Council to extend an invitation, under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, to Mr. Yahya Mahmassani, Permanent Observer of the League of Arab States to the United Nations, to participate in the meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday, 24 July 2002, on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem.<\/p><\/div>\n
