Official communiqué of the 4218th meeting of the Security Council<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Held in private in the Security Council Chamber at Headquarters<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

on Friday, 10 November 2000, at 12.20 p.m.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>In accordance with rule 55 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, the following communiqué was issued by the Secretary-General in place of a verbatim record:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>“At its 4218th meeting, held in private on 10 November 2000, the Security Council considered the item entitled ‘The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question’.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>“The President, with the consent of the Council, invited the representative of Israel, at his request, to participate in the discussion of the item without the right to vote, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Charter and rule 37 of the Council’s provisional rules of procedure.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>“The members of the Council and the representative of Israel had a constructive discussion.”\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
