Pursuant to the letter of the Charge d'affaires <\/span>a.i. of <\/span>Lebanon, dated 8 September 1972 <\/span>[<\/span>S\/10780<\/a>], <\/span>in which he informed you of the premeditated and unprovoked aggression committed by Israel against Lebanon, and in view of the gravity of the situation endangering the peace and security of Lebanon, I have the honour, upon instructions from my Government, to request you to convene an urgent meeting of the Security Council.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
