\t<\/span>The Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations presents his compliments to the President of the Security Council and, with reference to the letter sent to you by the Chairman of the Arab Group on 20 September 2002 (<\/span>S\/2002\/1055<\/a>), has the pleasure to inform you of our support for the convening of an immediate meeting of the Security Council to consider the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories. If such a meeting of the Security Council necessitates consultations among members of the Council, we propose to organize such consultations at 4 p.m. today, 20 September 2002.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
