    Letter dated 2 December 2008 from the Permanent Representative of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

  Further to our letter to you No. 4\/2\/2202 dated 2 December 2008 concerning the Libyan ship Al-Marwa <\/i>which was bound for the port of Gaza carrying humanitarian aid, and in view of subsequent serious developments, please be informed that I have received urgent instructions from the Government of my country to request the convening of an emergency meeting of the Security Council. <\/p><\/div>\n

  We therefore hope that you will take the necessary measures to convene an emergency meeting of the Security Council to discuss this issue. I should be grateful if you would have the present letter circulated as a document of the Security Council. <\/p><\/div>\n
