\t<\/span>I request a meeting of the Security Council to consider the situation in the Middle East.  This request is made bearing in mind that, in accordance with Article 24 of the United Nations Charter, the Members of the United Nations have conferred primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security on the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
