to the President of the Security Council<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t\t<\/span>I have the honor to refer to my Government's complaint against Egypt concerning the enforcement by that country of restrictions on the passage of ships trading with Israel through the Suez Canal [S\/3296, S\/3300, S\/3310].<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t\t<\/span>It will be recalled that this matter was discussed by the Security Council at its 682nd, 683rd and 685th meetings, in October and November of this year. At the first and last of those meetings it was decided to defer further consideration of the substance of this complaint until the Chief of Staff of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization was in a position to provide the Council with a full report on the Bat Galim <\/i>incident.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\t\t<\/span>In view of the fact that this report, with its clear and definite conclusions, has now been received and circulated to the members  of  the  Council [S\/3323<\/i>], I have the honor, on instructions from my Government, to request that a meeting of the Council be called at an early date.<\/p><\/div>\n
