LETTER DATED 6 MARCH 1975 FROM THE ACTING PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE <\/p><\/div>\n

OF ISRAEL TO THE UNITED NATIONS ADDRESSED TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

SECURITY COUNCIL<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>On instructions of <\/i>my Government I have the honour to draw your urgent attention to the latest vicious crime committed against innocent people in Tel Aviv on 5 March close to midnight.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The murder organization known as the PLO has committed another abominable atrocity, dastardly attacking a residential hotel, apartment houses and innocent passers-by.  As of <\/i>now it is reported that 6 people were murdered and 11 wounded.  The murderers reached their target from the sea.  Seven of them were killed and one surrendered.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>In a special cabinet meeting on 6 March, the Government of Israel issued the following statement:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t"The criminal outrage committed by the Fatah in Tel Aviv gives further evidence of the murderous aims and methods of the PLO terrorist organization and strengthens the necessity to continue the campaign against the terrorist organizations wherever they may be found.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t"The Israel Defense Forces and the Security Forces will continue to take action to destroy terrorists infiltrating into Israel in order to carry out acts of terrorism and murder.  Apart from the purpose of terrorism, which included the killing of hostages, this murderous penetration of the terrorists, at this juncture, had a political objective namely to foil any chance of progress towards a political settlement through negotiations.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t"Terrorist outrages will not deter the citizens of Israel, neither will they deflect the Israel Government from its policy of defending its citizens, while at the same time, making political efforts for progress towards peace."\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n

\t<\/span>It should be pointed out that the first acknowledgement of the perpetration of this atrocious act was issued by the PLO in Beirut, the place of its leadership, headquarters and command.  Likewise, the El Fatah second in command, Abu lyad, made in Beirut several statements relating to that crime.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>It must <\/i>further be clearly stated that this is the second consecutive yes that the General Assembly of the United Nations did not find it even necessary to deal with the subject of international terrorism. On the contrary, it has encouragement to the PLO and its heinous activities through its resolutions on" Palestine Question. Likewise the murder activities of the PLO draw their inspiration from the various resolutions already adopted, or at present being, considered in other international bodies, within and without the United Nations-system, as well as in certain political steps that tend to grant the PLO politic status.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The Government of Israel will pursue with even greater determination its resolute struggle to eradicate the scourge of Palestinian terrorism whose sole objective is indiscriminate murder and genocide.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>I have the honour to request that this letter be circulated as an official document of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
