\t<\/span>I have the honour to enclose herewith the letter of Mr. Riyad Mansour, Deputy Permanent Observer of the Palestine Liberation Organization.<\/p><\/div>\n

Letter dated 29 June 1983 from the Chargé d’Affaires of the<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

Palestine Liberation Organization at the United Nations<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

addressed to the President of the Security Council<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>On instructions from Yasser Arafat, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization I am asked to bring the following to your attention.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Fifteen Palestinians from Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem have petitioned the Israeli High Court in an attempt to end the siege imposed on the camp by the Israeli occupation authorities in retaliation for a 8 tone-throwing incident.  Israeli occupation authorities have blocked all entrances to the camp by erecting cement walls to obstruct access to and from the camp.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Israeli occupation authorities have sealed six Palestinian. homes in the village of Arraba near Jenin, claiming that relatives of the owners had allegedly thrown stones at Zionist colonial settlers.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>An Israeli military court, in Ramallah, yesterday sentenced 8 Palestinians to prison terms ranging from 2 months to 4 years for alleged stone-throwing incidents.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>On Sunday 25 June, Palestinians detained in the Ramallah Central Prison demonstrated against the inhuman conditions they are being held in. Israeli prison guards attacked the demonstrators with clubs and tear-gas grenades. Two prisoners were seriously injured. Prisoners have appealed to the International Red Cross to investigate Israeli practices against them.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>This information is conveyed to you so that you may be kept appraised of the escalated and highly intensified Israeli activities against Palestinians living under Israeli occupation.<\/p><\/div>\n
