to the President of the Security Council<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

[1 April 1954]<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Upon instructions from my Government, I have the honour, on behalf of the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of the Jordan, to submit the following complaint for urgent consideration by the Security Council:<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

"Flagrant breach of article III, paragraph 2, of the General Armistice Agreement between Israel and the Hashemite Kingdom of the Jordan" by the crossing of the demarcation line by a large group of militarily trained Israelis who planned and carried out the attack on Nahhalin Village on March 28-9 1954 firing from automatic weapons, detonating explosives, throwing hand grenades and incendiary bombs, which resulted in:<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

"(i) The killing of five national guards and one woman and the wounding of fourteen villagers, men and women;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

"(ii) The killing of three Arab legionnaires by the blowing up of the truck which was proceeding to Nahhalin Village as reinforcement and the wound-ing of the officers in charge of reinforcement and four other legionnaires, and<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

"(iii) Extensive damage to property including the bombing of the mosque of the village."<\/p><\/div>\n
