Letter dated 13 March 1961 from the Representative of the United Arab Republic addressed to the Secretary-General concerning a decision adopted on 7 March 1961 by the Egyptian-Israel Mixed Armistice Commission<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>With reference to the decision adopted by the Egyptian-Israel Mixed Armistice Commission regarding the complaint No. E 7 61 submitted by the United Arab Republic, I have the honour, upon instructions from my Government, to request you to circulate the text of this decision to all members of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n

DECISION ADOPTED ON 7 MARCH 1961 BY THE EGYPTIAN-ISRAEL MIXED ARMISTICE COMMISSION<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The Egyptian-Israel Mixed Armistice Commission,<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having discussed<\/i> Complaint E 7 61 of the United Arab Republic (Southern Region),<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

1.\t<\/span>Finds<\/i> that on 2 March 1961, at approximately 1000 hours (local time), two Israel aircraft crossed the international frontier and penetrated into United Arab Republic air space;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

2.\t<\/span>Finds further<\/i> that these two aircraft, having spotted a flock of livestock inside United Arab Republic territory, had flown at a very low altitude and machine gunned the grazing animals, killing and wounding a few camels and donkeys;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

3.\t<\/span>Notes with regret<\/i> the losses inflicted upon harmless Bedouins as a result of the Israel attack;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

4.\t<\/span>Decides<\/i> that this hostile act is a serious violation of article II, paragraph 2, of the General Armistice Agreement;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

5.\t<\/span>Condemns<\/i> Israel for such a hostile and inhuman action;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

6.\t<\/span>Reaffirms<\/i> its previous resolutions calling upon the Israel authorities to strengthen orders for preventing the recurrence of such violations;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

7.\t<\/span>Calls upon<\/i> Israel authorities to cease immediately and finally such hostile actions.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
