\t<\/span>On instructions from my Government and with reference to my previous letters, I have the honour to inform you below of the series of Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty by land, sea and air occurring from 26 December 2000 to 28 December 2000.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The new series of Israeli violations, which follows upon previous ones, constitutes a blatant violation of <\/span>resolution 425 (1978)<\/a> and of the sovereignty of Lebanon and a threat to stability in the region.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The Lebanese Government calls upon the Secretary-General to take the necessary measures to put a definitive halt to these violations.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>I should be grateful if you would have this letter circulated as an official document of the fifty-fifth session of the General Assembly, under agenda item 40, and of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
