Letter dated 9 July 2003 from the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  On instructions from my Government, I have the honour to transmit to you herewith a statistical breakdown of the 62 violations of Lebanese territory that were committed on land, at sea and in the air by Israel during the month of June 2003 (see annex).<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  These continual Israeli breaches of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are in violation of the Blue Line and of the provisions of Security Council resolution <\/span>425 (1978)<\/a>, and they pose a threat to stability and promote a climate of tension in the region.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  I should be grateful if you would have this letter and its annex circulated as a document of the General Assembly, under agenda item 36, and of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
