Secretary-General<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Colombia to the United Nations, in his capacity as Chairman of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement, presents his compliments to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and has the honour to refer to a letter dated 31 March 1997 from the Permanent Representative of Colombia to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General, in which he conveys the Movement's support for the request made by the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States for the convening of a special emergency session of the General Assembly in accordance with Assembly resolution 377 (V) of 3 November 1950, entitled "Uniting for peace".<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>In this regard, he has the honour to request that the above-mentioned letter, the text of which is contained in the annex to this letter, be circulated as a document of the General Assembly under agenda items 33, 35 and 85.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>In my capacity as Chairman of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement, I have the honour to convey to you the support of the 113 countries members of the Movement for the request made by the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States for the convening of a special emergency session of the General Assembly in accordance with Assembly resolution 377 (V) of 3 November 1950, entitled "Uniting for peace".<\/p><\/div>\n
