LETTER DATED 28 APRIL 1998 FROM THE SECRETARY-GENERAL<\/p><\/div>\n

ADDRESSED TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>I have the honour to refer to the composition of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF).<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The Governments of Austria and Slovakia have proposed to place a Slovakian platoon within the Austrian battalion in UNDOF.  This deployment will be in the framework of the two States' cooperation in the field of peacekeeping.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Following the usual consultations, I propose that Slovakia be added to the list of Member States providing troops to UNDOF.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>I should be grateful if you could bring this matter to the attention of the members of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
