LETTER DATED 3 MARCH 1971 FROM THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF ISRAEL<\/p><\/div>\n

TO THE UNITED NATIONS ADDRESSED TO THE SECRETARY-GENERAL<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>On instructions from my Government I have the honour to refer to the letter addressed to you by the Permanent Representative of Jordan on 26 February 1971 (A\/8287, S\/10133).<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The charges in the Jordanian letter constitute a distortion of the facts and are misleading.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>There has been no confiscation nor any expropriation of lands in the villages mentioned in the discussed letter; neither is there any intention on the part of the Government of Israel to take such steps in the future.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>I have the honour to request circulation of this letter as an official document of the General Assembly and the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
