Further to our letter of 2 July 1982 [S\/15315],<\/i> we have the honour to ask you to consider convening an urgent meeting of the Security Council in order to take up the question "The situation in the Middle East". We propose that the meeting should be held on Thursday morning, 29 July.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

In this connection we consider it useful to attach to this letter a draft resolution concerning the question, sponsored by France and Egypt.4<\/u>\/<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

We should be grateful if you would arrange for this document to be circulated in due course in all the official languages of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
