Letter dated 12 April 1995 from the Permanent Representative of<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>Upon instructions from my Government, I have the honour to register the rejection by the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the strongest possible terms, of the allegation levelled against my Government by the representative of the Zionist regime in document A\/50\/133-S\/1995\/282.  Such baseless allegations, which abound in today's politically charged climate, are absolutely false and in our opinion diversionary.  They intend to portray abroad a perverted picture of the actual reality in the occupied territories by blaming others.  The prevailing realities in the occupied territories are but the consequence of the brutal policies of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people.  Contrary to the allegation by the representative of the Zionist regime, I wish to stress that the course of events and developments in the occupied territories have nothing to do with the Islamic Republic of Iran.  The unfounded allegations of the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran to the contrary stem from the inherent expansionist agenda of that regime and have but serious repercussions for the peace and security of the region.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>It will be appreciated if the present letter is circulated as a document of the General Assembly, under item 149 of the preliminary list, and of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
