OF GREECE TO THE UNITED NATIONS ADDRESSED TO THE PRESIDENT<\/p><\/div>\n

OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>I have the honour to transmit herewith the text of the statement made by the Hellenic Government concerning the events which took place on 26 July 1983 at the Islamic University of Hebron:<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>"The Hellenic Government strongly deplores the criminal attack which was made on 26 July against students of the Islamic University of Hebron and which caused the death of three Arabs, while 33 others were wounded. In condemning this cowardly act of violence, the Hellenic Government expresses its sympathy to the families of the victims and ventures to hope that the Israelis authorities will take the necessary measures for the arrest and exemplary punishment of the culprits and ensure that such criminal acts against the local Arab population are not repeated in the future."\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
