Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Thank you, St\u00e9phane.\u00a0 Does the Secretary\u2011General have any reaction to the killing of the Palestinians, five\u00a0Palestinians over the weekend and three\u00a0Palestinians killed today in Israeli air raid? \u00a0Does he have anything to say about that?<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 The Secretary\u2011General deplores the deaths of three\u00a0Palestinian children last night as a result of an Israeli air strike near Gaza.\u00a0 The targeting of children or exposing them to risks leading to violence is utterly unacceptable.\u00a0 His thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims.\u00a0 He appeals to all to refrain from any act that could lead to further casualties, in particular, any measures that could place children in harm’s way.\u00a0 And you will have seen that Mr. [Nickolay]\u00a0Mladenov also over\u2026 tweeted out his sympathies to the families of the three\u00a0Palestinian children, and he said, “Such tragedies must be avoided at all costs.”\u00a0 Linda?<\/p>\n
