On 27 October, the Israel Palestine NGO Working Group to the UN in New York, together with Rebuilding Alliance, co-sponsored an event “#OPENGAZA: TRAUMA AND HOPE, FIRST HAND tour.” Dr. Yasser Abu-Jamie, MD, Executive Director of Gaza Community Health Programme and Ran Goldstein, Executive Director of Physicians for Human Rights, Israel briefed about Gaza’s mental health crisis and the impact of the blockade, especially among children.
The UN Palestinian Rights Committee will observe the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on Monday, 23 November 2015 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Observances will also be held at the UN Offices at Geneva on 30 November and at Vienna on 24 November, as well as in many other major cities around the world in cooperation with the UN Information Centres. Invitations to attend to accredited and observer CSOs will be sent shortly.
The UN Palestinian Rights Committee in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will hold the International Meeting on the Question of Jerusalem in Jakarta, Indonesia from 14 to 15 December. A Civil Society Forum will be held on 16 December. Invitations to attend to accredited and observers CSOs will be sent shortly.
