11. In the occupied Palestinian territory, the violence that escalated in late 2015
continued at a reduced level. In December, the Security Council adopted resolution
2334 (2016), in which it condemned a range of measures in the occupied Palestinian
territory that violated international humanitarian law and relevant resolutions,
calling for an end to all settlement activities, acts of violence and incitement.
