The OIC will hold a seminar entitled “Half a Century of Occupation and Discrimination: for Accountability and Justice” on the sidelines of the 41st Session of the International Human Rights Council in Geneva, on 9/7/ 2019 at the UN Palais des Nations. Ambassador Ali Qutaly, Director of the Department of Palestine and Al-Quds Affairs, will deliver a statement at the symposium. Several keynote speakers, will address the symposium starting with Dr. John Rindolds, an international law expert, international activist Zoblivili Mandela, South African Member of Parliament, and Sawsan Zaher, an insider human rights activist and Assistant Director General of “Adalah”.

The symposium will address a number of issues, most notably human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories by Israel; the occupying Power, particularly with regard to the forced displacement of Palestinians, the imposition of (national state) law and issues such as Israel’s racial discrimination against the Palestinian people.
