The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold, in its headquarters in Jeddah, an extraordinary open-ended meeting of the Executive Committee at the level of Foreign Ministers of the OIC Member States, on Monday 3 February 2020. The meeting will discuss the OIC’s position in the light of the developments in the cause of Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif following the US Administration’s announcement of its peace plan on January 28.

The OIC reaffirms its principled position and support for the Palestinian people in their struggle to regain their legitimate rights, including the establishment of their independent and sovereign State with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The OIC had confirmed in a previous press communiqué that the solution to the Palestinian issue must be in accordance with international law, relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
