The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to invite contractor bids to build 2572 new unlawful colonial settlement units on the pre-1967 occupied Palestinian territories, including Al-Quds city. The OIC General Secretariat considered the decision a continuous breach, by the Israeli occupation power, of international law and relevant UN resolutions, and a brazen affront to the international community will.
Israel’s illegal settlement creation and expansion drive, the OIC stressed, aims to undermine the two-state solution agreed upon by both the international community and the Arab Peace Initiative.
