The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned Israel’s decision greenlighting the building of 2070 new settlement units within the occupied Palestinian territory, including Al-Quds. It faulted the continued Israeli settlement policy as unlawful and a blatant breach of international law and Geneva conventions.

The Israeli settlement activity is an affront to the international community’s will and relevant international resolutions, OIC Secretary General Yousef Al-Othaimeen stressed, calling on influential international actors to fulfil their responsibility to enforce internationally recognized resolutions, and to hold Israel to account for its persistent acts of aggression and violation of the rights of the Palestinian people.
