Annual capacity building programme, 28 October – 6 December 2019, New York

The 6-week annual capacity-building programme for civil servants of the State of Palestine ran from 28 October to 6 December 2019. It was organized by the Division for Palestinian Rights, Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs. The participants learned the work of the United Nations, its legal foundations, rules and regulations, the functioning of its main organs and major items on their respective agendas, with a special focus on the question of Palestine.  

The 2019 programme participants were officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ramallah – Ms. Loureen Sayej and Mr. Abdelrahman Romana, of the Multilateral Affairs Department.  

During the last week of their training, the participants received certificates of completion from the Under-Secretary-General of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Ms. Rosemary DiCarlo (pictured above).
